Sinjin Smith
Olympian, World Champion, and Hall of Fame Inductee - Sinjin Smith is widely recognized as one of the most influential athletes in beach volleyball history. Known globally as the King of the Beach, Sinjin earned over 140 professional victories and helped shape the modern game through his leadership, innovation, and role building the AVP Tour. Today, he brings that same passion to coaching, mentoring the next generation of athletes on the sand.

Tom Slauterbeck
Tom Slauterbeck is an experienced beach volleyball coach with a long history of developing athletes in Southern California. A former competitive player from the late 1990s through 2007, Tom brings technical knowledge, patience, and a fundementals-first approach to every training session.
Throughout his coaching career, Tom has trained many athletes, some of whom have progressed into top high school programs, earned collegiate opportunities, or competed at advanced levels on the beach.
At Sinjin Beach Club, Tom serves as the Head of the Girls Program, where he focuses on long term athlete development through refined technique, smart game strategy, and building strong competitive habits Known for instilling hustle, attentiveness, and strong beach-volleyball culture.

Stanton Smith
Stanton Smith is the Head Boys Coach for Sinjin Beach Club and a high-level professional beach volleyball athlete. He began his collegiate career at Santa Monica College before graduating from Cal State Northridge (CSUN), where he spent three seasons on the coaching staff developing NCAA Division I athletes. With over 10 years of coaching experience, Stanton has also served as head coach at Samohi and as a club coach for Pac6 indoor volleyball.
Stanton competes professionally in AVP and CBVA events and brings a strong technical background, disciplined training style, and deep understanding of the modern game to every session he leads. A co-founder of the Boys Sinjin Beach program, Stanton is committed to building high-performance athletes and guiding serious players through their long-term development on the sand.

Dane Pieper
Dane has spent 10+ years developing his game across both indoor and sand, competing at Santa Monica College and continuing his career with California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) events. Over the last 3 seasons, Dane has helped support training culture at the club by reinforcing grit, positivity, and consistent athlete improvement on the sand.

Maleya Miles
Maleya Miles is a dedicated and experienced beach and indoor volleyball coach with a strong background in player development, mentorship, and team leadership. She is a Division I student-athlete at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where she competes on the university’s beach volleyball team while pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Child/Adolescent Development.
Maleya has coached at well-known programs including Chaminade College Preparatory School, SoCal Legends Volleyball Club, and other beach clubs. She brings a player-centered coaching philosophy that emphasizes technical growth, confidence building, and character development. Her approach focuses on fostering a strong work ethic, teamwork, and resilience—on and off the sand.
